Vinyl Record Decor?

Yes! I said it, vinyl record decor! This is such a cute gift idea for someone who loves music! Who doesn't love music, right?

It's also a fun little craft project you can do with some old vinyl records you may have! :)

Here's what you need:
Glass Bowl (that can go in the oven)
Vinyl Record
And of course, an oven ;)

(tell me that's not a cute holder for your sunglasses)

So preheat your oven to about 350 degrees. Take your record and your bowl and rest them inside the oven until you see the bowl start to warp. Remove from the oven and press down on the record until it forms to the shape of the bowl. Hold there for just a minute until the record hardens back.

**I highly suggest using a towel on your hand to press the record down, very hot coming out of the oven! ;)

I did have pictures of a step to step process, but my computer crashed recently. Yay! Don't you love it when that happens? :)

The fun thing about this project is you can use different size records and different sized/shaped bowls and come up with all kinds of cool creations! :) I hit up a local flea market/thrift store and scored on a bulk buy of vinyl records! :)

If you do want to see some step by step instructions, here's a great little blog with a tutorial, stars for streetlights! :)

Until the next time.....
