Remember Peace?

Some of my customers know that I'm a military wife. Air Force Wife that is. Recently we went through our first deployment. It was suppose to be a 4 month deployment but ended up being a 1 month deployment due to him injuring his back. Don't worry! He's okay! :)

I remember thinking the day I saw him off at the airport, "if only we lived in a world filled with peace, there would be no need for war."

Going through that deployment is what inspired my first donation project. Peace- Remember Me? T-shirt.

(lovely model is Ashleigh)

Now, you may be wondering...what kind of donation project is this? Well let me tell you. Have you ever heard of Cup Of Joe For A Joe? Well if not, you should definitely check it out! It's an awesome program that provides coffee for our deployed men and women. A $2 donation can buy coffee for one service member.

With this project, I sell these shirts for $15 with free shipping. I donate $6 of each shirt sold to Cup Of Joe. $6 will buy coffee for 3 service members. Since selling these shirts I've been able to make a $42 dollar donation, buying coffee for 21 service members. And let me tell you, it's an amazing feeling when you receive a thank you response back. Most of them do write you back to tell you thanks!

(one of the many thank you responses)

Every thank you response I received from a service member was just rewarding. It made me feel so good about being able to make the donation. BUT.....I would not be able to make the donation without the lovely ladies who have purchased a T-shirt! In every note to a service member I tell them about the project and that this donation was made on the behalf of 4 lovely ladies, or however many have bought shirts at the time of the donation. It truly is a wonderful gift for them. A lot of them said things like "let's us know we aren't forgotten over here."

So...if you are interested in purchasing a shirt, you can find them in my Etsy Shop. I have several colors and different sizes available. However, if you don't want to purchase a shirt but do want to make a donation. You can visit Green Beans Coffee, read more about their program and make a donation if you would like! :)

(me rockin' my Peace T-shirt)

Thanks for reading all about my donation project! And if you are one of the lovely ladies who has purchased a T-shirt, Thank You! :)

Until the next time....
