Thought I Would Share!

A little while back I posted a blog entry about my Peace Tshirts. I donate $6 of each shirt sold to Cup Of Joe For A Joe. The program provides coffee for our deployed men and women. $6 can buy coffee for 3 service members! :)

(me sporting my peace shirt)

Well, every time I make a donation, I wait patiently for the thank you emails. It's one of my favorite parts about this project. I enjoy so much hearing how that cup of joe made their day, it's not about recognition for doing a good thing that I like about the emails. It's knowing that for a moment, I helped that person get a "break" from what they do over there or help them enjoy a little piece of home. Many of them have said to me that it helps them feel like they haven't been forgotten.

I always post a picture of the thank you email so that people who have purchased shirts and made the donation possible, can see how thankful these men and women are. Upon posting one of these emails, a friend (that is stationed here in Alabama, the same base my husband is stationed at) who is deployed told me that's the base he is at right now. Told me he would get a picture of the Green Bean Coffee shop, they are the company that does Cup Of Joe For Joe.

This is our friend who is deployed right now, in front of the Coffee Shop! :)

Such a small but cute little coffee shop, for them to enjoy their Cup Of Joe at.

 "Got Coffee?"

I was really excited to be able to see one of these coffee shops! Wanted to share with all of you!

Handmade Clocks

I would like to take credit for this beautiful work, but I can't. My Uncle Lee actually made these. Beautiful aren't they? Cedar wood frames, um hello, gorgeous!!

(perfect for Dolphin lovers)

Who likes Spongebob? This clock is for you! :)

You want to know the awesome thing about these clocks?? Handmade. When I say handmade, I mean entirely handmade. No electrical tools were used in the building process-all hand sawed, sanded and painted. Also, no toxic chemicals, finishes or paints were used, only water based.

If you are interested in these clocks, head over to my Etsy Shop
