My Artwork

Painting. I absolutely love love love to paint. The thing I love about art, it's always open to interpretation. Someone may title it one thing and mean something completely different to whoever sees it.

I enjoy slipping my red painting apron on, picking up my paint brush, dipping it into whatever color my brush goes for and painting away. Painting is just freeing in a way. When I paint, I probably feel like what one feels like on their motorcycle. :)

Something cute and girly I did for a customer. Yes, a tree with buttons. Now how cute is that? :)

I call this piece Old Hollywood Glam. When I think Old Hollywood, I think of some of our most famous movie icons....Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland and (my favorite actress) Lucille Ball.

Navajo Dreams is what I call this piece.

Darkened Love

Rainy Day Rainbows. And yes, it was raining when I painted this! :)

Navajo Sky Dancers.

I appreciate you taking the time to view all of my heart. I hope you enjoyed looking at it as much as I enjoyed painting it! :)

Until the next time....

Recreating Thrift Store/Flea Market Finds

I absolutely love thrift stores and flea markets. I could literally spend hours looking around. You can find all kind of goodies, especially goodies you can recreate into something else. Bring new life to it.

My Momma was in town for a visit and we went to our local flea market. I have probably been at least 15 times. Okay, probably more. ;)

So while we were strolling around the store, I came across this purse. It would be really cute for a beach vacation, however I don't make it to the beach too often. Oh and not to mention, carrying something like this around a toddler....yeah, it's bound to get broken.

I looked at this purse and immediately new what I could do.

Jewelry! So far, I've made earrings with it. :)

These beautiful Coral Mother of Pearl beads look great with the white shell.
Teal & Beige Crackle Glass Beads with
white shell. Reminds me of under the sea.

Lime Green Mother of Pearl Square and Coin Beads with white shell. The green mother of pearl just pops against that white.

As you can imagine the possibilities are endless when it comes to recreating a thrift store/flea market find. What will you make with your next find? :)

Until the next time....
